blue.jpegIt’ll be twice the blue when theblueballroom and thebluedoor officially merge today.

Thebluedoor, an integrated PR and social media agency will fall under internal comms specialist theblueballroom’s name to provide clients with both internal and external comms services.

The two agencies operated as sister organisations and have worked closely since thebluedoor’s inception in 2008. The merge comes in response to the emerging popularity of integrated agencies. Earlier this summer, Lesniak Swann, a marketing agency merged with eCommerce specialist Cyberzia to solidify its stance as an integrated agency.

The trend will allow theblueballroom to extend its offering to clients and raise its profile as a multiservice agency. Yesterday, Forbes interviewed Dan Roglin, from an integrated agency, about the trend. He said the way forward for communications teams is to combine brand planning and market analysis.

Thebluedoor’s MD, Abigail Harrison, says, “thebluedoor has from the off been a leading player in the online and social sector. By now joining forces with an internal specialist who also influences the digital landscape, we can ensure we provide the most effective communications strategies possible to meet the needs of our clients’ entire business.”
