AMEC elects new chairman
Tuesday, 17 August 2010 15:18

Mike Daniels has been elected the new chairman of the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC).
He has taken over the position from Nicholas Grant with immediate effect.

Daniels has been a director of AMEC – the global trade body for media evaluation and communication research – for three years alongside his work as director of Report International. In addition, he is a member of the Institute for Public Relations Commission on Measurement and the Market Research Society.

Daniels says his first priority will be to further establish AMEC as an international body. Building on the Barcelona Principles of Measurement, he intends to create closer links with other organisations, including other global PR associations, market research and marketing communications companies.

Daniels complemented the work of his predecessor, Nicholas Grant, in establishing AMEC as a global body for communication research. He said it is due to “Nick’s selfless and committed contribution to AMEC that it has become the focus for debate and standards development in PR measurement”.
