FIREFLY MILLWARD BROWN APPOINTS STEVE HERON AS NEW SENIOR STRATEGY AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR London. February 22, 2012. Global qualitative research firm Firefly Millward Brown, has announced the appointment of Steve Heron to the position of Senior Strategy and Creative Director.

Reporting directly to Cecile Conare, CEO of Firefly Millward Brown in the UK, Heron’s responsibilities will include managing Firefly’s innovative studio, identifying original ways of working with qualitative research and new business development.

Cecile Conare commented; “Steve brings with him a wealth of experience from the design industry. He has a proven track record of leading and motivating creative teams to help clients meet their business needs. He will play a pivotal role in Firefly’s future development for developing inspirational ways for creative collaboration with consumers and our clients to deliver exceptional results. We welcome him to the team.”

Heron brings with him more than 20 years of creative design experience, having led multi-disciplined teams through a variety of creative projects. First starting out as a designer and later Head of Creative Model Studio for Moggridge Associates/IDM London, Heron has become an accomplished innovation professional, experienced at guiding businesses through brand transformation and delivering insightful ideas to ensure successful business growth.

Previously working as Director of Innovation with Sense Worldwide, Heron was responsible for business growth and managing major clients including Vodafone, Philips, Pfizer, Heinz and Johnson & Johnson. Heron also spent 10 years as Senior Design Manager with IDEO London covering FMCG and brand strategies, product development, service design and design of environments and interactive installations.

His achievements to date include winning the Gold Business Week Innovation Awards for Vodafone Lisbon and the D&AD Award for Thames Water Pavilion. Heron studied at Kingston University, London gaining a Bachelor of Arts 2:1 in Furniture and Product Design.
