theeword.jpgManchester-based specialist search marketing agency theEword has had 13 major client wins over 2011, including Atomico, Ralli, Gateley, Pannone and Genting.

As a result of this growth, theEword increased its headcount to 21 members of staff, including the hiring of experienced marketing experts and two new apprentices.

To facilitate the predicted growth of business in 2012, the management team has been restructured, with the current managing director, Al Mackin, taking on the role of chief executive officer. Al’s new role will involve taking a strategic approach to the company’s business development plan, helping to identity and support future growth opportunities.

Current general manager, Daniel Nolan, will become MD, overseeing the day-to-day running of the agency.

Al commented: "I'm delighted with theEword's 2011 financial results, which have surpassed our expectations in a challenging economic climate. We have a proven track record of delivering tangible results for our clients, and with a dedicated team of industry experts, our clients know that they can rely on us to provide excellent, and reliable, advice. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the outstanding team here, as this success is down to their hard work – it’s an amazing achievement, and they should be very proud of themselves.

“Daniel Nolan has been an outstanding general manager, and with his knowledge of the industry and his experience, I’m confident that he’ll continue to help us drive the company forwards."
