Lansons Communications has restructured its broadcast and content production arm, Lansons Live, and recruited Jon Cronin in the newly created head of content role. Lansons Live’s head of broadcast, Pernille Sahl Taylor, will step up to jointly head the business, alongside Cronin.
Cronin brings with him nine years’ experience at the BBC, where he held a number of roles including producer and reporter for BBC World service business programmes, and features editor for the BBC World Service radio business programmes. He was latterly deputy editor of the BBC business news website.
Lansons’ chief executive, Tony Langham, comments: “Lansons Live has been growing hugely over the past 12 months, and income is currently up 20 per cent since the start of this financial year alone. We were one of the first agencies to offer specialist broadcast and content production services and we know that the latter is an exciting area with huge potential for growth. Jon will manage and look to develop all of our content production work going forward, including filming, webcasting and podcasting, along with introducing some new services over the coming months.”
“This allows Pernille to focus more on growing the broadcast consultancy and media training we offer clients. The team works with many of Lansons' existing clients but is increasingly picking up their own broadcast briefs with the likes of Avon and TravelSupermarket.com, and this is something Pernille will be looking to further build on in future.
”Being independently owned means we have been able to invest and grow our business at a time when many other companies are not able to do so. We hope to make further additions to Lansons Live and other parts of our business over the course of the next six months.”
