How attendees will benefit
The outcomes of this course assist participants develop the habits and processes that enable us to be more successful, commit to change, increase personal effectiveness and our levels of interpersonal communication skills. The course also explores the importance of making team working an integral part of what we do, taking responsibility for our own motivation and using time more effectively.
Who Should Attend
The course is designed for all Account Executives and Account Managers irrespective of PR industry sector.
What attendees will learn
• What motivates us?
The psychology of motivation is interesting for most of us. This short session will create greater awareness as to which motivational theory underpins our human needs
• What do we mean by “interpersonal communication”
We develop understanding from the “55-38-7” statistic, understand the difference between body language and body vocabulary and work together in pairs and small groups on some simple but effective listening techniques. We will also learn the language of assertive behaviour whilst understanding other, less acceptable, forms of behaviour
• Our Working Styles and team dynamics
We will each profile our preferred working style and aim to understand how similar we all may be in the way in which we work in order to become more effective team memebers.
• Personal goals and values
What do we want out of our jobs and what do we value about our work? We will use some creative exercises to demonstrate how working together as a team can produce some exciting results
Because this type of training is a means of helping individuals to be more self-directed and self-aware a high level of participation is essential. This is achieved using exercises, group discussion, role-play and individual self-assessment. Formal input is used to provide the framework for practical activities.
